Why Am I Making This So Hard for Myself?

I’m prepping to install my van flooring, but instead, I’m floored by frustration. The problem is one I made for myself, and I need to sort it out before I can get much further with my van build. Once I do, I can proceed with adding a water barrier over my subfloor to ensure a watertight installation on my van floor.
