I’m so excited to return to the Appalachian Trail for a training hike. I was camping in Hayesville, North Carolina, and realized that Siler Bald was less than an hour away.
At 5000 feet, Siler Bald provides some of my favorite views along the Appalachian Trail! The 4-mile hike round-trip from Wayah Gap offers excellent climbing with over 1100 feet of elevation gain. What a great way to amp up my training!
